Bodhisattva

Head of a bodhisattva. There are large parallel tool marks on the back. The bodhisattva has a nimbus with plain band and border with lotus petals. He has a moustache, plump upper lip, elongated eyes and a large urṇa on the forehead. The hair is arranged in ringlets converging to the centre and pulled up in a knot held by a string of pearls. There are remnants of large earrings on both sides of the head.
