Winged male figure
A bracket spacer depicting a winged male figure. There are almost vertical chisel marks on the back. The back part is wedge-shaped for fitting purposes. On the figured field a male figure is represented on a low projecting podium in left profile. He is seated on the floor with the left leg – the only visible – extended forward. He holds a lobed shield with the left arm, that is extended forward turning the back. The right arm is up to hold a non-visible weapon or to support the superstructure. He wears a short dhotī and has a muscular body with well-defined lumbar crease. He has a moustache and short hair, he has a prominent jaw, bulging eyes and large nose. On the background are depicted two large wings with flight feathers depicted by parallel lines.
