Buddha and devotees
A panel representing a buddha and two male devotees. The base, from which the buddha's seat is projected, is plain. The upper end of the relief is defined by the profile of the scene. On the bottom face there are two tenons, one at each end. Tool marks are visible on the right face of the relief; short, large flat chisel marks run vertically on the back face.
The buddha sits in padmāsana on a seat covered with fabric. He is wrapped in his overrobe with feet and hands exposed. The buddha had a nimbus, and his head was surrounded by the branches of a tree. The devotee on the right stands slightly tilted toward the centre with his hands joined. He wears an uttarīya and a paridhāna, a long necklace, bracelets and anklets. Of the second devotee, only the silhouette is still discernible.
