Buddha

A stele statue depicting the Buddha. Two circular nail holes are drilled at the waist height. The back face shows horizontal marks of chisel. The Buddha is sitting in padmāsana and abhayamudrā on a seat with grass spread over it. He is wrapped in the overrobe with covered feet, the left hand is holding an edge. The overrobe shows a prominent round neckline. The garment folds are dense ridges, V-shaped on the chest and rounded concentric on the lower hem. The seat is decorated with a straight festoon with opposite ovate leaves facing left.
