Ascetics
Part of a relief depicting ascetics. On the back there is a small circular drill hole, which does not cut across the relief. On the right there are remnants of a figure in right profile, whose body is curved forward, suggesting old age. Next, to him, in the centre of the figured field, stands frontal with the head slightly tilted to his left a young ascetic. He wears a short garment, his left hand is raised in an unidentified gesture, while his left holds an object, arguably a kamaṇḍalu. To his right, the scene is closed by a tree with upward and downward branches and lanceolate leaves.
