Palmettes

A frieze relief, probably a cornice, showing three palmettes each an inside architectural element. The decorative motifs in the figured field are separated by a half-column of the Gandharan-Persepolitan type, and by a corner framed half-column of the same type on the left-proper side and left-proper face. The base consists of a plain fillet, the cornice of a plain fillet below, and a projecting row of bordered ogival upright leaves above. The top face preserves two lateral sockets for cramps and a dovetail socket. Three voluted carinated arches with purlins and pendants are carved. Each of them encloses a palmette. Those at the center and on the right have an open flame, that on the right has a closed flame.
