Donors

Fragment of a cornice preserving two male donors. The base consists of a plain fillet, the cornice of a row of bead-and-reel. A square nail hole and a rectangular socket are carved in the top face. The bottom face shows tool marks. The relief shows two male figures carved in bust and turned towards each other. They are both shown under a round arch with extrados, and they are separated by the upper part of a Gandharan-Corinthian pillar above which a rosette is depicted. The figure on the right wears a skull-cup turban and ring-shaped earrings. The figure on the left has short hair pulled up in a knot. They are both holding an indistinct object in their hands.
