Maitreya
A stele statue depicting Maitreya. A circular nail hole is carved in the right-proper part, through the seating of the figure. The back and side faces show horizontal tool marks.
Maitreya is sitting in padmāsana on a throne. This latter features a back decorated with rosettes, a cushion, turned legs, and a drape hanging on the front face.
The bodhisattva is in abhayamudrā, the left hand is holding an ovoid kamaṇḍalu. The face preserves traces of half-closed eyes and of a moustache. He has a flowing hair parted in the middle and pulled up in a small coil. He wears an uttarīya exposing the right shoulder, a paridhāna, and flat band wristlets.
