Buddha

The Buddha is sitting on a moulded plain seat with grass spread on it. His right hand is abhayamudrā, the left held an edge of the saṃghāti. He is wrapped in the overrobe covering the feet. The drapery folds are rendered in well-spaced, relatively flat, round ridges. He has a circular ūrṇā on the forehead, arched eyebrows, half-closed eyes, and a thin mouth. A line marks the neck. His hair is rendered in horizontal rows of overlaid waves. The uṣṇīṣa is not separate and features a rectangular hole on top. The nimbus shows a border decorated with radiating triangle-like rays and a plain fillet.
