Last Existence: Return to Kapilavastu or Bridal Procession

A fragment of a relief originally showing a scene from the Last Existence, either the Return to Kapilavastu or the Bridal Procession. The base consists of a plain fillet and the cornice of two superimposed plain fillets. The scene preserves two horses walking towards their right and harnessed to a farm open (?) cart. Both horses have a plume held by a string. The harness components include a breast collar, a belly band, and a breeching, all plain. The cart’s side features a bar-like motif and a wheel decorated by a rosette. Scanty remains of figures are seen inside the cart. On the right, the left leg of a figure is preserved.
