Bodhisattva, monk
A corner dividing element in the shape of two Gandharan-Corinthian pilaster with a bodhisattva against the shaft on one side, and a monk on the other. The base is moulded and plain. The top face shows a socket, the bottom face a rectangular tenon. Horizontal tool marks are seen on one of the sides. A Kharoṣṭhī mark is found on the base (figured face with the bodhisattva).
The bodhisattva is kneeling on a flat plain base in right three-quarter view. He has joined hands and a plain nimbus. He is dressed in a paridhāna and has a turban worn sideways and earrings.
The monk is kneeling in on a flat plain base in left three-quarter view. He has joined hands and wears the saṃghāti.
