Buddha and devotees
Fragment of a relief preserving a buddha and devotees. The base features a plain moulding, the cornice is decorated with a wavy pattern. Two rectangular nail holes and two horizontal sockets are carved on the top face. The left face shows tool marks, suggesting that the object was possibly reworked.
On the right, the buddha is standing frontal and slightly turning towards the left. His right hand is in abhayamudrā, his left hand is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. The nimbus is plain. The drapery of his overrobe is rendered with schematic, V-shaped wide lines.
On the left, three standing male figures are depicted slightly turned towards the Buddha. They all have joined hands and wear a paridhāna, an uttarīya, ring-shaped earrings, and possibly a turban.
