Buddha
A statue depicting the Buddha.
The Buddha is sitting in padmāsana on a low seat with grass. His right hand was in abhayamudrā, his left is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. He is wrapped in the overrobe with the toes of the left foot exposed.
The overrobe, with V-shaped neckline, falls onto the seat in dense rounded ridges and with the gathered edge spreading in pipe folds over the same. Straight paired ridges run on the surviving leg. He has half-closed eyes, a pointed nose, and a thin mouth. The hair is parted in the middle with lateral continuous waves. The uṣṇīṣa is not separate.
