Bodhisattva
A stele statue depicting a bodhisattva. On the back face there are parallel horizontal flat chisel marks, deeper on the lower half of the figure.
The bodhisattva is sitting in the European position with crossed ankles (sattvāsana), the hands are in dharmacakramudrā. His round face has half closed eyes, straight nose, and mouth with plump lower lip. He wears an uttarīya exposing the torso and a paridhāna, a skull-cap turban, large earrings, a torque, and a long necklace. An armlet and a bracelet are still visible on the right arm. The nimbus was probably plain.
