Buddhas
Part of a small stūpa drum depicting a row of sitting buddhas. The base features a moulding with two plain rebated fillets and a torus. The cornice consists of two plain superimposed fillets. Vertical tool marks can be seen on the back face.
The five remaining buddhas are sitting on a low seat in padmāsana and dhyānamudrā. The figures are wrapped in the overrobe with hands and feet covered. Their hair is parted in the middle with continuous waves and separate uṣṇīṣa. The figures are divided by a tree with a compact crown and upwards branches.
