Buddha
A stele statue depicting the Buddha. The front of the base is decorated with a framed festoon with opposite cut leaves and with mid-rib, facing left, and features a projecting cornice, the bottom face of which shows a row of ogival upright leaf-and-dart. The proper right face of the tenon preserves tool marks.
The Buddha is standing frontally, the weight of the body is placed on his right leg. The right hand was in abhayamudrā, his left is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. The neckline of the overrobe is oval. The drapery is rendered in dense rounded ridges. He has arched eyebrows, open eyes with incised irises, a small nose, and a large mouth. The hair is rendered in vertical rows of waves, and the uṣṇīṣa is separate. The border of the nimbus is decorated with radiate lanceolate leaves with mid-rib, the field is plain.
