Buddha

A dividing element showing a buddha against the shaft of a semi-column of the Gandharan-Corinthian type. A rectangular tenon is carved on the bottom face. The buddha is standing frontal. His right hand is in abhayamudrā, his left is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. This latter features an oval neckline. The figure’s eyes are round, and the hair is parted in the middle with possibly horizontal broken waves. The uṣṇīṣa is separate and he has a plain nimbus.
