Buddha
A headless statue depicting the Buddha. The back shows faint vertical tool marks. A circular nail hole cuts across the statue to the left of Buddha’s waist.
He is sitting in padmāsana on a low seat with moulded base and covered in grass. His right hand is in abhayamudrā and shows a web between the fingers, his left is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. He is wrapped in the overrobe with covered feet. The overrobe shows a prominent round neckline. The garment folds are dense parallel u-shaped ridges on the front, and parallel lines on the arms.
