Buddha

A statue depicting the Buddha. The back shows parallel horizontal tool marks. He is sitting in padmāsana on a low seat with a moulded base and covered in grass. His right hand was probably in abhayamudrā and his left is holding an edge of the saṃghāti. He is wrapped in the overrobe with covered feet. The garment folds are rounded concentric on the lower hem. The nimbus has a radiate border and a plain field.
