Buddha

A corner pilaster with a seated buddha in dhyānamudrā over a lotus throne on each of the two sculpted faces of the shaft. The base is plain. The two uncarved sides have vertical continuous sockets, two small square sockets are on the top face, and a square tenon is in the centre of the bottom face. The two buddhas were originally identical. They sit in meditative position on a lotus throne and are wrapped in their overrobe with covered hands and feet.
