Buddha and devotees

An almost squared panel depicting Buddha and devotees. The base consists of a plain fillet, and the relief has no cornice. The two sides are fashioned in vertical continuous rebated joints, and there is a rectangular tenon on the top and on the bottom. The buddha sits in padmāsana and dhyanamudrā on a moulded seat. His head is surrounded by the branches of a tree. The devotee on the left stands slightly tilted toward the centre with his hands joined in front of the chest in a gesture of veneration. Of the second devotee, only the silhouette from the shoulders down is still discernible.
