Buddha and devotee

Fragment of a relief with partial figure of Buddha with a devotee. The cornice is composed of a plain fillet. On the right side of the relief stands a bearded devotee – probably an ascetic or Brahmā - with hands joined in a gesture of veneration. He wears a paridhāna and an uttarīya, his hair with coil and a vertical knot. The devotee is turned to his right where the Buddha stands, wrapped in his overrobe.
