Buddha head
Head of a buddha belonging to a statue.
The buddha has arched eyebrows, open eyes with incised iris, a broad nose, a dropping moustache, and a thin, full mouth. The hair is parted in the middle with lateral continuous waves. The uṣṇīṣa is separate and tied by a double plain string at its base. The nimbus was plain and surrounded by an umbrella-shaped compact crown of a tree with lanceolate leaves, of which only a portion is preserved on the right.
