Last Existence: Tug of War Competition

Fragment of a relief probably showing the Tug of War competition. Siddhārtha engages in a tug of war competition to prove his strength. On the right, Siddhārtha is standing in the right three-quarter view. He is wearing a turban of the Indian type, no longer fully discernible, and earrings with a horizontal cylinder. The nimbus is plain. On the left are three identical male figures on different levels – the first and the third from top to bottom are headless – and carved in busts. The central one, fully preserved, has hair stylized in curls and with a small knot. He wears earrings, a long multiple strands necklace with a central stone, and a plain double armlet. All three figures are pulling a rope.
