Revelry scene
Part of a relief frieze with three scenes separated by a framed semi-column of the Gandharan-Corinthian type. The scene on the right is completely lost, that in the centre shows a revelry scene, and the third one preserves only a figure. Both the base and cornice are plain. A tenon is carved in the bottom face. The back face shows vertical tool marks.
The central scene displays three male figures. One is seen standing frontally in the centre and behind a container placed on a small flat base. He is carrying a leather bag on his shoulders – the filling hole is still discernible. On the right, a second figure is dancing with the right leg bent backwards and his hands touching the bag’s dispenser. On the left, the third and last figure seem to be carrying a small vessel in both hands.
Only a standing figure, whose gender cannot be recognised, remains in the left scene.
