Bodhisattvas
Fragment of a relief displaying the head of two bodhisattvas. The projecting cornice was decorated with a row of vertical separate acanthus leaves with plain leaves behind, now not fully discernible. The back shows vertical tool marks.
The bodhisattvas were originally standing, with their heads turning towards the right. They both have a nimbus with a plain border and wear a turban with zones and earrings. On the right are the scanty remains of a nimbus belonging to a third – not preserved – bodhisattva.
