Bodhisattva
A Gandharan-Corinthian capital showing a bodhisattva. Only a portion of the tenon is preserved. A rectangular socket is carved on the proper left part of the bottom face.
Two indistinct phytomorphic elements stemming from the kalathos lips are carved on the moulded abacus, this latter featuring a prominent fillet. The bodhisattva, shown frontally in bust, is emerging from the upper central acanthus leaf with the right hand in abhayamudrā. He has globular eyes and a nimbus with plain border. He wears an uttarīya, a turban, earrings, and a long necklace with a central stone.
